Alice Long is a textile artist focusing on a research-led creative practice that embraces heritage and craft in the UK.
Through studying art and design in her home in Hampshire, Alice pursued her dedication to the arts into a bachelor’s degree at The Royal School of Needlework. After graduating in 2022 with a degree in Hand Embroidery for Fashion, Interiors and Textile Art, her desire to pursue learning of heritage skills introduced the opportunity to study in Paris with the CHANEL & The King’s Foundation Metiers d’Art Embroidery Fellowship, where in July 2024, she graduated under the mentorship of the Parisian Art School Maison Lesage.
Alice is now developing her creative practice through freelancing, an independent practice under the support of The King’s Trust, and volunteering in an art gallery as part of the community arts engagement programme.
